Chrysalis aims to promote self confidence and well being through education, practical application and support. Thus enabling progression into becoming a whole person capable of independent living.

A Need Recognised
The whole concept of Chrysalis has been developed from a need recognised by its three founder members. They are a Counsellor, Social Worker and Specialist adviser. It has become very evident in their work loads that young people with Gender Identity Issues are slipping through the present framework of gender help agencies. With this in mind CHRYSALIS was formed.

The principle aim is to open MEETING CENTRES throughout the South

NOW OPEN: We are pleased that Chrysalis has opened a NEW GROUP for the RELATIVES of our MEMBERS. This Group will be specifically for the SIGNIFICANT OTHERS in the lives of our Members and will afford them the opportunity to access the resources of Chrysalis. This group meets independently and on a different evening. Details via invitation from a Chrysalis Member.

About the Chrysalis Meeting Centres:
Q. What is Chrysalis?
A. Chrysalis operates Meeting Centres in Southampton, Portsmouth area and Bournemouth area, for people who have Gender Dysphoria.
Q. Who is it for?
A. The Meeting Centres are intended to give help and support to people over the age of 18 with a Gender Identity Issue.
Q. What is meant by a Gender Identity Issue?
A. Gender Identity can cover several issues. It is the aim of Chrysalis to provide support for people with Gender Dysphoria, sometimes referred to as Trans-Gendered or Transsexual people.
Q. What do the Meeting Centres aim to provide?
A. A place to discuss all aspects of Gender Identity Issues in confidence.
We are open on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month, in Southampton, Bournemouth area & Portsmouth area.
At all meetings, we have either a Speaker, or a Workshop, to inform & educate on all related matters; from your legal rights to make-up tips.
Each Meeting Centre has a trained Counsellor, Gender Advisor, Support Workers & an assigned LAGLO Officer.
